Xerox Duplex Portable Scanner Helps Businesses Large and Small Cross the Analog-to-Digital Divide
Xerox® today introduced a smart portable scanner that captures, stores and organizes up to 1,000 pages a day. It has advanced features such as algorithms that correct visual clarity and optical character recognition (OCR) that reads documents accurately in 179 languages.
The Xerox® Duplex Portable Scanner is designed to streamline paper-ridden processes that bog down employee productivity. Engineered for the worker at home, at the office or in the field, it can scan 15 pages per minute at 300 DPI, and can scan documents as small as a business card, or documents up to 8.5 inches wide and 118 inches long. The small footprint enables the device to sit comfortably on any desk, a convenience that makes it simple for employees to digitize and share information. At a suggested retail price of $339.99, the scanner is affordable to a wide range of businesses.
Xerox MFPs Receive Security Certification
Xerox’s AltaLink multifunction printers have become the first MFPs to be certified against the new Common Criteria Classification by the National Information Assurance Partnership.
The new protection profile for hardcopy devices is based on security requirements that have been specified by government agencies in both the United States and Japan. It is intended to protect information processed by MFPs from security threats, and includes stringent cryptography and authentication requirements.

Personalization to Take a 360 Degree Turn in the Xerox Booth at PACK EXPO

Attendees at the 2017 PACK EXPO packaging tradeshow will be able to watch variable images get printed directly on a plastic cup. The demonstration will showcase 360 degree printing capabilities on three-dimensional cylindrical objects, taking Xerox’s Direct to Object Inkjet Printer one step further.
“Imagine a compact counter height printer that can personalize each cup as it spins through the device at a sporting event, food establishment or print shop,” says Karl Dueland, vice president of Xerox’s Digital Manufacturing. “We can also print on larger sized containers such as buckets or full size paint cans.”
Xerox and Fujifilm’s North American Reseller Partnership to Expand Collective Inkjet Portfolios

Xerox and FUJIFILM North America Corporation’s Graphic Systems Division today announced a reseller agreement for Xerox to market and sell the Fujifilm J Press 720S in the U.S. and Canada.
The J Press 720S is a sheetfed inkjet press that has the quality and robustness of an offset press as well as the versatility to handle short press runs. The J Press 720S has a 29.5 inch x 20.9 inch sheet size and runs both coated and uncoated standard offset stock, with full support for variable data and personalization.
“The Fujifilm J Press 720S has had strong success in the B2-format digital print category,” said Jeff Hayes, managing director, Keypoint Intelligence (InfoTrends). “A combination of high quality levels and a rugged design has made the J Press popular, particularly with commercial printers.”
