Today Xerox announced the new Xerox PrimeLink™ B9100 Series Multifunction Printer, which is the first multifunction printer designed to meet the productivity demands of the connected workforce.

The important documents in our lives - birth certificates, contracts, medical reports, exam results - are still predominantly printed in monochrome. In fact, 63 percent of all printing is still done in black and white. It’s printing that is required, time critical and done at low cost.

Xerox announces two new optional capabilities for the iGen® 5: the extra-long sheet (XLS) and Fluorescent Yellow Dry Ink.

“These enhancements are designed to increase the versatility, productivity and scalability of our clients’ existing investment in the Xerox iGen 5. Coupled together, they make the iGen 5 the most versatile digital color production, cut-sheet press available in the market today,” said Tracey Koziol, senior vice president of Global Offerings, Xerox.

Xerox (NYSE: XRX) announces the Xerox Baltoro™ HF Inkjet Press, a cut-sheet production press that enables clients to print high-volume, transactional work and high-quality direct mail and catalogs on a single press with superior image quality and productivity. The Baltoro HF is Xerox’s first product using this platform.

“We engineered the Baltoro HF by leveraging the best of our iGen® and High Fusion inkjet technologies. The result is a breakthrough platform that expands into the commercial print environment and supports high-quality production with economics similar to offset printing,” said Tracey Koziol, senior vice president of Global Offerings, Xerox. “Designing and manufacturing the Baltoro HF from the frame to the engine gives us a greater ability to continuously advance the platform at a faster clip.”

Xerox announced today security enhancements to its line of Xerox AltaLink® Multifunction Printers (MFPs), providing IT managers, network administrators and chief information security officers with an extra layer of protection and a more proactive approach to network threats.

“While other networked print devices use a fractured, manual approach to cybersecurity, Xerox employs an automated response that neutralizes threats at their source,” said Dr. Alissa J. Abdullah, chief information security officer, Xerox. “Instantaneous responses are critical when seconds could mean the difference between effective threat response and a catastrophic breach.”

How It Works
By augmenting Xerox’s embedded security technologies with McAfee Data Exchange Layer (DXL) and Cisco Platform Exchange Grid (pxGrid) platforms, cybercriminals are stopped from gaining a foothold into networks and compromising sensitive data.

Xerox will present a portfolio of end-to-end solutions designed to help print service providers (PSPs) optimize inkjet production at Hunkeler Innovationdays (HID) in Lucerne, Switzerland from Feb. 25-28, 2019.

Debuting at HID is the new Xerox Rialto® 900 MP Inkjet Press, a roll-to-cut sheet platform designed to deliver maximum productivity per square meter. The new Speed Boost option increases output by 33 percent, bringing total production speed to 64 meters per minute. 

Xerox offers points of entry to inkjet via cut-sheet, roll-to-cut and continuous feed. Combined with the automation of integrated workflow tools, such as Xerox FreeFlow® Core, and personalization software, such as XMPie®, PSPs can reach new heights of production.
